On February 18, 2025, NFC (China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd.) officially signed the EPC contract for the Dak Nong Aluminum Smelter Plant Project with the Vietnamese project owner in Beijing. Mr. Liu Yu, Vice General Manager of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC) and Chairman of NFC, attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech. Mr. Jiang Lei, General Manager of NFC, signed the contract on behalf of the company with Mr. Tran Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnamese project owner.
This signing marks the official commencement of the Dak Nong Aluminum Smelter Plant Project. The project will be constructed in three phases, with phase 1 scheduled to produce first hot aluminium within 15 months and a total contract duration of 40 months. As Vietnam's first aluminum smelter project, it represents a significant milestone in the country's industrialization and serves as another exemplary model of deepening international production capacity cooperation between China and Vietnam.
The successful signing of the Dak Nong Aluminum Smelter Plant Project in Vietnam fully demonstrates the Vietnamese owner's high trust in NFC's technical expertise and project management capabilities, further highlighting NFC's comprehensive competitiveness as a world-class contractor. The implementation of the project will provide strong momentum for NFC in fulfilling the CNMC's 14th Five-Year Plan and driving high-quality development, while also making a positive contribution to Vietnam's industrial growth and China-Vietnam economic and trade cooperation.
Senior executives from the Vietnamese project owner, the Chairman of Vietnam's financing bank, representatives from NFC and relevant project partners attended the signing ceremony.
